In Yamashiro - blessed with clear streams such as Nishikigawa, you can enjoy sweetfish, soba and local Sake. One of the three major valleys of the West Chugoku Mountains National Monument. "Goryu no taki Falls", in the area is one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan! The medieval Cretaceous granite zone, located upstream of the Ozegawa flowing east of Mt. Shirataki, is a valley that forms a variety of topographies due to the erosion by flowing water. From the promenade, you can see rare strange rocks and monster stones such as Kameiwa, byobuiwa, and Kimeniwa.
